Installing NVM on my Fish shell
While setting up the environment of a new machine I faced a problem that I could not solve: after install nvm I still was receiving as output to my commands "nvm: command not found", so after some research I was able to find a solution and after not finding much material about I decided to create it myself.
Many solutions that I found were about setting up my ./bash_profile or config.fish files, nothing seemed to work, so this is going to be about this particular case.
So, what are we going to solve here: after installing nvm and setting your .bash_profile (or others), your terminal (with fish shell) still does not recognize the nvm command. So there is the solution:
First, install OhMyFish with the following command line:
curl -L github.com/oh-my-fish/oh-my-fish/raw/master/bin/install | fish
And now, using OMF install nvm:
omf install nvm
So, that is it, to verify if everything worked properly do the command:
If the output is the nvm version, perfect, we done.
